How to save what you find online
Unfortunately, while the Web has given a broad platform for spirited public debate and discussion, the information that is generated is always left in perpetuity and is sometimes intentionally deleted to eliminate embarrassment for a party involved. Therefore, it is a good idea if you think there is a pressing need to recall this information in the future to back it up in some way.
There are also other criteria to consider — for instance, do you want to rely on a local back up or a cloud back up? I thought I could rely on a cloud back up service, WebCite, but I was proven wrong.

HTTrack Website Copier — http://www.httrack.com/
Wget, Darcy Ripper, and HTTrack Website copier are more intended for capturing whole webpages/sites or capturing specific file types from those pages (such as PDFs, mp3s, etc). I really like these tools and I find Darcy Ripper is handy when HTTrack is having issues capturing whole websites (for instance, when I sought to download all of Out Here, the promotional magazine for Tractor Supply Company — this is a story for another time).
